We basically ordered the entire menu & there wasn’t a single item we didn’t stretch our stomachs to finish.
If you’re only going to get a couple things - get both breads + the whipped feta (an unexpected gem), lamb ribs, Gheymeh Nesar, and while I’m not a huge fan of dessert - the saffron ice cream sandwich is a dream.
Place is a bit loud to have a conversation & it was hard to get the staff’s attention.
Tables were a bit small for family style.
Everything here was so amazing, I can't wait to go back. The food was outstanding, every dish a surprise and every bite memorable. The lamb ribs were the most tender I've ever had, the squash was funky, and the eggplant had a multilayered flavor. Even the banana date cake had complex notes. The vibe of the place is nice, each room has a different style.
Spot is pretty much entirely deserving of the hype. Good service, appealing interior decor and music, and of course the food really shines. My pic of the lamb chops didn’t get saved for some reason, but we ordered those as well as yogurt spread, bread, carrots, and eggplant. I’d say the chops and bread/spread were the highlight for me. The cocktails are also high concept and delicious. My only note for improvement was that the carrots had way too much liquidy sauce and were a bit difficult to eat with knife and fork. Very interesting “3 phases of flavor” going on w that dish though—just make it a little easier to eat?
A hidden gem in east Williamsburg, a Persian fusion restaurant, nice cocktail options, and tasty dishes.
We have bread and salad as a starter, the bread is creamy and a little sweet, paired with the sour/acidic salad. Then, crunch a potato with dark sauce. Had octopus and need kabob. Both of them are good, these have some layers of flavor, completely bringing the street food stereotype to a higher level.
The ice sandwich is a rose-based with pistachio, impressive flavor but still creamy.
Will visit this place again!
Okay, came in with super high expectations but I was not let down for the most part. We ordered the lamb ribs thinking it would change our lives but it didn't. The flavor was amazing but you can't really taste the lamb... The crust on the veal was overdone and the broccolites were too salty. The bread was good but it was still $5. The scallops were great, would definitely recommend it.
Honestly, the best part of the whole dinner was the rice that came with the veal. The fluffy perfectly steamed and seasoned basmati rice was the best "dish" we were served. It is quite poetic in the sense that the simplest dish tasted the best when.
Everything was amazing, but eggplant was the star! Both breads were great as was the saffron martini. Staff was lovely
1. Short rib
2. Potato
3. Mushroom kabob
4. Carrots
5. Eggplant
The food was amazing. The lamb ribs are an absolute must have. The rice was also phenomenal. All the dishes we got were delicious. Definitely coming back.
I really enjoyed the whole experience here. Service was good, they forgot one of the dishes but also made sure that we got it in the end without charge. I would have given this whole experience a 5/5 but due to very dry chicken they get a 4/5. The lamb racks and aubergine is to die for. Bread wise the flat bread was my fave. I wanted to try more dishes as this resto has great potential but was very full after 2 breads, 1 starter, two small dishes and one main, shared by 2 ppl.
